Originally published September 9, 2019 on the original SPEN10 blog. Lightly refreshed in October 2026. Heads up: these steps were written for the original version of ClickFunnels (now known as ClickFunnels Classic). ClickFunnels 2.0 has a different interface, so menus and buttons may not match.

Today we're going over how to share a funnel in ClickFunnels. This is really useful when you've built a funnel and want to give it away — or sell it — to someone else who has a ClickFunnels account.

It works the other way too: you can find funnels other people are sharing and load them into your own account the same way.

If someone clicks a share link and doesn't have a ClickFunnels account yet, they'll get the option to create one. That account is created under whoever shared the funnel, and that person earns affiliate commissions for it.

As you can see, this is a powerful way to build great funnels and share them — giving them away or selling them — while getting people signed up under your affiliate link.

Sharing a funnel takes just a few steps.

Step 1: Go to your Funnels page

From the ClickFunnels home page, go to the top and, just to the right of the search bar, hover over the menu labeled "ClickFunnels" with their logo next to it. From the dropdown, select Funnels.

This takes you to a page listing all the funnels you've created or that have been shared with you.

Step 2: Select a funnel

Click the title of the funnel you want to share. This opens the funnel's Steps page, which shows your funnel pages in order.

This is the main back end of your funnel, where you add or edit pages and set the URL path for each page.

Step 3: Go to Settings

Next, click the big Settings button in the blue bar at the top right, directly beneath your ClickFunnels profile picture. These are the settings for the entire funnel, not for each individual page.

Here you can set the funnel's domain and the path to its first page, and add group tags to stay organized. Below that, you can add tracking codes for the head or body, along with a few more settings.

Step 4: Find your funnel's share link

Below the tracking code boxes is a large blue box labeled Share This Funnel URL. Alternatively, click the Share Funnel button in the top right — it opens a pop-up with the same share URL.

Copy the URL and post it wherever you'd like to share it: blog posts, YouTube videos, social media and so on.

Step 5: Mask the link (optional)

This step is optional, but I recommend it for two reasons:

  1. It shortens the link, which is much easier to read than a long URL full of random characters.
  2. It lets you track clicks, so you know how many people are using your link.

There are several tools for this. Bitly is one of the most popular, and ClickMagick is another highly rated option with more advanced tracking.

Paste your share link into one of these tools and it gives you a short, clean link to post wherever you want. Each time someone clicks it, you'll see the data.

Not sure where to start with ClickFunnels?

If you're stuck on starting or building a business, I recommend the One Funnel Away Challenge. It's a step-by-step coaching program that walks you through the framework for building a successful funnel — even if you're not sure yet what to sell.
